Welcome to Aline’s Fine Couture. Following are the different sewing courses being offered on a regular basis. All classes have limited seating. Reserve early.

Aline's Fine Couture

LEVEL I – (Beginner/Basic)

This class is for students who know very little about sewing and want to learn how to sew. With this course, students will learn all the basics of the sewing industry including: the World of Fabrics, notions, the tools of the trade, how to read a commercial patter and a general knowledge of measurements. Students will construct a garment and apply the construction and finishing seams learned in class.

For the first class, students are required to bring a poster board, paper scissors, a pencil and markers.

Students are required to bring their own sewing machine and sewing kit on the second class.

LEVEL II (Intermediate and Advanced)

This class is for students who understand the basics of sewing and would like to learn more about custom fittings and professional finishing. The students will learn about collars, pockets, sleeves, cuffs, hems and buttonholes. Project involves construction of a garment of your choice to be discussed at first class. Please bring your sewing machine and sewing kit.

Classes are offered on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. - (8 wks - 20hrs)

About the teacher: Aline is a professional seamstress and an experienced teacher. She has been sewing for over 40 years and has been teaching for the last 12 years.
